Welcome to day one of Popsicle Week! Check back every day for a summer splash of the most refreshing homemade popsicle recipes you’ll love to make over and over again!
Today, let’s beat the heat with 29 fruit popsicle recipes you absolutely must try this summer!
Slurping down a fresh, fruity popsicle and watching those telltale dribbles drip down your favorite kid’s face is summertime tradition you just can’t pass up. Now, what if I told you thtat you can avoid all kinds of nasty chemicals and artificial flavorings by making these brightly colored, natural, and fruit-packed popsicles right at home?!
Most of these fruit popsicle recipes require nothing more than a blender and a popsicle mold. (I’ve got this pretty mold on my wishlist!) Of course, if you’re like me and go “old school” you can pick up a package of wooden popsicle sticks and a bag of Dixie cups and go to town creating your own popsicle factory at home.
Don’t be fooled into thinking that the beautiful striped pops, like this first one below (my toddler’s fave!) require hours of prep. Of course, if you opt to freeze them in layers they look stunning, but you can just as easily whirl the ingredients in your blender and make a “smoothie” pop that your family will enjoy just as much… unless they’ve seen the photos first 😉
Alrighty, let’s get to popsicle making!

I live in Florida, and when you count the heat index, it’s already 102 at 9am!! We live on ice cream and popsicles in the summer as our snacks. I am glad to have ran across this so that we can try out all sorts of new popsicle recipes. 🙂

We don’t live in the deep south, but here in SW MO, it does get super humid at times. I end up dreading July and August, so finding fun popsicle recipes make it more bearable!
The fruity popsicles, like strawberry, are yummy, BUT, I am and will always be a chocoholic, ha! So, anything like a chocolate “fudge-sicle” would make my day!
Jelli says
René I’m with you on the chocolate popsicles! In fact, be sure to stop by this weekend for a Nutella popsicle fest. It’s like a fudgesicle lovers paradise…but better! Hope your weather is bearable this summer, as I know humidity can really suck the energy out of us all. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Thank you, Jenn. I think I could eat popsicles year-round, but summertime just screams “popsicles!” from the heat and the chimes of the ice cream trucks driving down the lanes. Homemade beats all.
