Homemade Natural Peanut Butter

April 27, 2013 By Jelli 11 Comments

It’s a breeze to make peanut butter at home. Not only is homemade natural peanut butter tastier than it’s grocery store counterparts, but it’s also got a very short list of ingredients. Let’s learn how to make your own simple, delicious ONE ingredient natural peanut butter.

natural peanut butter recipe no oilThis peanut butter does not separate or require stirring before every use, like some other natural butters. Since we aren’t adding additional oil to the mix, it will maintain a uniform consistency from the day it’s made until the day you’re scraping the sides of the jar clean.how to make homemade peanut butter If my mini food chopper can get the job done, then any food processor can get you flavorful, satisfying peanut butter in under ten minutes.

All you have to do is decide which type of peanuts to try first! Any roasted variety works, but if you’ve got a sweet tooth, you might try honey roasted nuts. On a low-sodium diet? Try unsalted peanuts and add your own salt to taste. Mix and match to design your own custom peanut butter blend.

Homemade Natural Peanut Butter:

Pour 1-2 cups of your favorite roasted peanuts into food processor and let it run.

The nuts will go through a few different stages, including a point where the mass almost forms a ball, but will slowly begin to smooth out into delicious peanut butter. Process the nuts until the peanut butter is as chunky or as smooth as pleases your palette. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Keeps 2-3 weeks, if it lasts that long!

Ooohhh, I’ll have to try this. Husband likes creamy peanut butter and I like chunky and this way we can get both. 🙂
