Have you thrown in the towel on learning how to make homemade ice cream? If you thought it was only possible with particular equipment, time spent over a hot stove, and pound of rock salt, then I’ve got great news for you!
Anybody can make homemade ice cream!
This key lime pie cheesecake ice cream is made in the blender. I churned mine in my ice cream maker, but you can easily make this refreshing summertime pleaser without any specialized ice cream appliance, here’s how. See I told you it was simple!Key lime pie cheesecake ice cream is made from David Lebovitz’s no-cook cheesecake ice cream base, layered with tangy swirls of brilliant yellow key lime curd, and finished off with chunks of crunchy graham crackers. It’s blow your mind delish!
My husband and I almost needed to padlock the freezer when I made this ice cream. It had to chill a few hours to solidify before we took food photos, and it was SOOO tough not to dig spoons right into the pan. Yes, pan. Did I mention we’re layering up this ultra yummy ice cream in a loaf pan?
Bonus tip: When you want a homemade ice cream recipe to have beautiful swirls of flavor marbled throughout, it’s best to layer up the mix-ins (in our case lime curd and grahams) with the ice cream base in a loaf pan. That way, when you serve your ice cream, each scoop will have those gorgeous streaks of color and bits of goodness that you’re looking for. This stuff is so good your whole neighborhood will be lining up at your door. I can’t wait to show you how to make this easy homemade ice cream today!

Yum! I’ve never been any good at making ice cream with a maker. I’m too inpatient and don’t want to wait forever. This is perfect! I’ve pinned it &’ll be using it a lot this summer1

I will confess, I thought it had to be made over the stove, in the fridge, and in the ice cream maker. You have proved me wrong! Ok, this is the cutest set up – the sprinkles, the apron, the ice cream scoop – lovely! Pinned!

Thanks, Mary Francis! I’m a pretty big fan of the apron too- one of my mom’s better picks 😉 This ice cream is almost too easy. It makes you want to whip it up every time the container goes empty. Thank you for stopping by, lady!

I LOVE key lime pie, and I super love ice cream–why hasn’t anyone thought to combining them before?!?! My sister has an ice cream maker that we use all of the time in the summer, and I’m adding this to the list of ice creams we have to make soon.

Sounds great, Natalie! I feel like I missed out too many years that I could’ve been eating homemade ice cream, so now my husband and I make great use of our Cuisinart ice cream maker. It was the best wedding gift ever!
