Maxi Skirt {Love} & Giveaway

March 10, 2013 By Jelli 2 Comments

pinkblush maxi skirt reviewIt’s finally here! My first ever maxi skirt is now safely folded stashed away in my closet, and I am one happy camper. Had someone told me that sporting jersey maxi skirts was like wearing your favorite worn-in pjs all day long, you’d better believe my daily outfit rotation would involve maxi skirts every.single.day, especially while pregnant. If you’re building your maternity clothes wardrobe, this skirt should definitely be on the list.

pinkblush skirtWhen this navy striped maxi skirt came in the mail,  I literally put it on 10 minutes after it arrived. And the next day too. The lush fabric is soft, soft, soft and the dark stripes are both flattering (awesome for my growing body) and stain-forgiving (essential for mommying a toddler.) My only qualm is that the fabric is a little thin. You can’t see through it unless direct sunlight is streaming down, but to be on the safe side, you might want to double up with a slip. It’s technically maternity clothing, but with a foldover yoga waistband, there’s zero evidence of maternity so you can bet I’ll be wearing this way beyond pregnancy.

I love that skirt! Now that the weather is finally starting to get warmer here, it would be a great piece to add to my maternity clothes for the spring/summer. I have decent items from when I was pregnant with my daughter, but I’m looking to kick things up a notch this time! Thanks for this giveaway!

Good luck! Hope you’re able to find some great pieces for your wardrobe this time around. I’ve also got my last pregnancy wardrobe packed away, but you’d laugh if you knew just how meager it was. Somehow I found my sporty swish pants more comfy than most maternity clothes. Yes…stylish, I know 😉
