Chances are, you’re going places this summer.
Travelling with children is a whole ‘nother ballgame than the tranquil, self-indulgent vacays that Husband & I enjoyed as a family of two. Introducing new sights and sounds, cultures and languages to your children is a wonderful way to bond as a family, but doesn’t come without some serious travel considerations.
Make your next trip smooth and enjoyable for every member of your family with these helpful links.

Oh my, traveling with kids ( especially young children) can be so stressful! We flew with our then 15 month old to Korea from LA and she slept most of the flight, but when she was awake it was challenging! I just flew 13 hours with her a few months ago and she did well but I was a total wreck, had a panic attack as the plane was so cramped and was worried she would through a major tantrum. Alas she was an angel and I am beyond grateful, despite how exhausting the journey was! All in all it is worth it in the long run, the memories created.

We flew trans-Atlantic with our little girl both at 5 months and at almost 9 months and I too was pretty concerned about how she’d take it, but both times she was a gem, though admittedly needed more distractions & entertainment the second time. So glad that you and your family had good experiences with long flights. I know many people who wouldn’t even consider it. Thanks for visiting, Elizabeth.

Thanks for the link-up and great advice. We just booked a trip to Hawaii and I was worried about flying with a toddler. Molly was perfect as an infant, but I’m feeling much better about the 8 hour flight now!

For me, the secret to traveling with my little girl is to always pack an extra pair of leggings in my carry on. That way if she spills something on her pants, or gets cold, it’s easy for her to slip them on. Plus, they pack really small! My daughter’s favorite brand is http://www.twirlygirlshop.com/girls-capri-leggings but obviously there are lots of places to get them.
