I’m not one to keep my opinions to myself, as my mother will quickly tell you. When I come across the best café in town or the best recipe for chocolate cake, you’d better believe you’ll hear about it. That’s why I can’t keep this little gem of a cloth diapering guide a secret.
Whether you’re curious about cloth diapering your baby or have already begun, you’ll love Changing Diapers: The Hip Mom’s Guide to Modern Cloth Diapering. This book is jam-packed with all the information you could possibly need about cloth diapers (CDs). Here are just a few of the many topics covered (from the table of contents):
- Why choose cloth diapers?
- Understanding basic cloth diaper talk
- Diapering for the ages and stages
- Traveling with cloth
- Conquering leaks, rashes, and the nighttime wet mess
- Daddies and diapers
- How to wash your cloth diapers
I used this book as my cloth diapering bible. Literally, it has the answers to nearly everything I wondered about with CDs. It explains the jargon at the beginning, which is something that would’ve definitely saved me tons of Google queries if I’d had it when I first started researching cloth diapers.
I gave my own copy of this book to a friend when my family lived in Italy. Yes, I even toted this jewel of a read to Italy! You have no idea how happy I was when after reading this, she immediately went out and ordered (and loved!) cloth diapers.
Seriously, if you’re on the fence about CDs give this a read.
If you’re already cloth diapering, let this be your guide.
If you know someone planning to CD, make this your baby shower gift.
Changing Diapers is the best cloth diapering manual out there.
‘Nuff said.

Me too, Julie! I’d have saved oodles of time hunting through webpages to learn about CDs if I’d had this book from the get-go. It’s really fabulous. Thanks so much for stopping by. P.S. If you’ve got any tips for surviving overnight in cloth for heavy wetters, I’d love to hear what works for you!
